Course Description

With this course students will be prepared for the professional world. They will receive guidance on creating appropriate resumes and cover letters and learn skills relating to customer service, workplace health and safety, time management, effective communication, and proficiency in basic office computer applications.

This course can be structured to span over the entire school year, during which the student will be awarded Certificate II in Workplace Skills. Students will be guaranteed a minimum of 180 nominal hours, encompassing units 1 & 2 of VCE.
This course can also be a direct pathway into a Certificate III in Business or Certificate III in Information Technology at Integrity or a pathway into a SBAT program.

Who Should Attend?

Years 10 – 11 students wanting to complete a Certificate II in Workplace Skills (units 1 & 2) whilst still enrolled at school

Course Outcomes

Individuals with this qualification would have a possible employment outcomes of an Administration officer or Administrative Assistant

Course Duration

The Certificate II in Workplace Skills VETDSS program is completed in approximately 9 months of the school calendar year.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification but learners are subjected to a pre-training review to confirm suitability.

Assessment Information

Assessment is ongoing during the program and includes undertaking specific activities and obtaining feedback from your trainer.

Certificate Award Requirements

This qualification will be tailored to suit individual school requirements.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Many individuals may already be competent in one or more of the units of competency. RPL is available for each unit of competency based on relevant workplace experience, formal training or other expertise. Recognition will involve submission of your evidence in the form of a portfolio.
