We are thrilled to announce our Dual Student Profile of the Month!

Congratulations to Kaitlin Gladman and Millicent (Millie) O’Shea!

Both employed by Edencraft International in Geelong, Millie has begun her BSB30120 – Certificate III in Business traineeship, while Kaitlin, having finished her own Certificate III in Business traineeship, opted, along with her employer, to further her learning by pursuing a Certificate IV in Business traineeship.

Here are the perspectives from both trainees on how they’ve integrated their newfound knowledge into their professional endeavors.

Q: What does your role entail?

Millie – My role as administration assistant entails Data entry of all Inventory, Accounts Payable, Customer Invoices/Quotes/Orders/Credits, and Payroll multiple        businesses. I am responsible for answering the phone lines and have constant interactions with customers and suppliers.

Kaitlin – My role is Business Manager at Edencraft. I look after invoicing and customer communications, as well as accounts payable. I order stock and process payroll. I look after post sale warranties and reconciling accounts.

Q: What skills have you gained through your traineeship that you can directly apply into your workplace?

Millie – Definitely time management / organisation. Between my traineeship and working 38-hour weeks, I have to find time to set aside to ensure I am getting not only schoolwork, but also my job done.

Kaitlin – I have refined skills regarding the use of spreadsheets and making complex documents. I have also learnt how to better handle myself with communicating with customers and supplies

Q: What aspects of your training have brought you the greatest enjoyment thus far?

Millie – I’d have to say the difference it brings to my work week. It breaks up my routine and allows me to think about something other than my regular tasks at work. I also enjoy the challenge it brings me, and the skills learnt, I can implement into my own workplace.

Kaitlin – Being able to learn new things and what I learn really benefit me at work but also in aspects of life outside of work

Q: What advice can you give anyone who is thinking about undertaking a traineeship?

Millie – If you are thinking about it, do it. I didn’t see myself studying again, but so far, I have really enjoyed it.

Kaitlin – Do it, So worth it.

Q: How did you find working and training together at the same time, is it beneficial?

Millie – I find that it is a challenge but is also very beneficial. As I mentioned earlier, it forces you to learn organisational skills, which only benefits you in the long run

Kaitlin – Yep, the online virtual training has been great. Super flexible and was beneficial for me.

Q; How has your traineeship experience influenced your short-term and long-term career goals?

Millie – My traineeship has given me a real understanding of how different functions within a business link together and contribute to its overall success. It has also helped develop my thoughts behind the leadership skills and the priority sustainable and ethical practices should have. Not only that, it has also highlighted the importance of continuous learning and professional development, to ensure a business’s continual growth.

Kaitlin – Given the duration of the courses, I think it has made me realise how many courses you could actually complete, so many possibilities and so many opportunities through Integrity.

Q: Upon completion, do you plan to further your studies?

Millie -I would like to complete my Certificate IV in Business after completing my Certificate III.

Kaitlin – I would love to enrol in another course and keep developing myself

Q: How did you find the working relationship between yourself and Integrity Business College?

Millie – I find it very easy going. It is very easy to get in to cotact with teachers and management when necessary. Guidelines and timelines are always clearly set out and easily followable.

Kaitlin – It was great, the college was super flexible and accommodating if I ever need to change dates of classes. It was also great to be ablet o speak to the trainers outside of class times, if ever needed.

Q: Would you recommend Integrity?

Millie – Absolutely!

Kaitlin – I would 100% recommend Integrity to anyone looking to commence or further their studies.

Congratulations to both of you! Your consistent effort, hard work, and commitment have truly distinguished you as exceptional students.
