The following is a message in regards to Integrity Business College Board member, Bob McIver from Managing Director, Peter Venables.

“It is with a very sad heart that I announce the passing of one our Founding Board Members, Bob McIver.

Bob was not only a well-respected and loved member of our ‘Integrity Community’, but he was a quality, loyal friend of mine who I will miss immensely.

Bob’s role on the board was one of risk management and business engagement, he had a vast business network who valued his business knowledge and respected his views. A quality man with quality ethics!

He was passionate about the empowering and training of young people and loved his involvement with Integrity, he used to say to me with his cheeky grin when asking about Integrity Business College “How is my favourite business going?”

Bob had a major influence in establishing our new Docklands offices and training rooms and I will always value the support he gave. As these long term decisions were made, his calm, logical, pragmatic approach and advice were always welcomed and valued.

To honour Bob, we will be implementing an annual ‘Bob McIver Encouragement Award’. This award will be presented every year at our Graduation Awards night at Marvel Stadium, to the student who has displayed effort and demonstrated integrity within the classroom and whilst working in the workplace.

Many people talk about having Integrity, Bob McIver lived it!

Rest In Peace Bob.”

Marie Vassallo, Chairman of the Integrity Business College Board, has also shared her experiences working alongside Bob.

“I first had the pleasure of meeting Bob at my first board meeting with Integrity – around 2015 I think. He was always talking about some real estate deals that he was working on.

When Bob said he had had a meeting with Dan, he meant the premier (Dan Andrews) – not name dropping to big note himself, just telling a story about the project he was passionate about – setting up an educational hub in the Western suburbs.

Passion is definitely the right word – he was always passionate about education, providing opportunities for others.

His network was vast, with people from all industries and walks of life drawn to this honest, moral man who was working hard to make a difference.

You don’t meet men like Bob in business very often. I was very privileged to have worked with him. He embodied the values of Integrity, honesty, social justice and fair go.

Vale Bob!”
