Tara Broadbent and Teah Snowling were hired as trainees at Darbecca PTY LTD in 2018 as Office Assistants. They are now in the final stages of completing their traineeship with Integrity Business College. Teah and Tara, both aged 20, have been training to receive their Certificate III in Business which provides them with the necessary knowledge and skills required for their role working at Darbecca. Darbecca is a home inspection service company based out in Bacchus Marsh.
Throughout their traineeship, both Teah and Tara have gained valuable knowledge in all Microsoft office programs which assists them in their daily role. Their daily tasks consist of answering phone calls, client and builder liaising as well as the use of computer systems, while also managing and scheduling appointments.
Tara says gaining her knowledge that is required to complete these tasks through Integrity’s online classes plays a major role in her enjoyment throughout the traineeship. “Being online, makes things a lot easier to have a good work/life balance. It is very convenient and helps when working 5 days a week.”
Being together for both work and training has also proven to be very helpful and enjoyable, as they both spoke about the positives that come through gaining their qualification simultaneously. “It is extremely beneficial, at times if there is ever any confusion through work or the training, we lean on each other and will help each other out to help expand our knowledge and get the right result.”
The working relationship between the students and Integrity Business College has also been a major positive throughout their traineeship.
“Throughout the process of completing any assessments, our trainer Kaelene was extremely helpful if we ever needed any assistance.”
Managing Director, Peter Venables, was full of admiration in the two students growth throughout their training.
“I really enjoyed my workplace visits to Tara and Teah at Darbecca. The growth and maturity by these two young ladies has been terrific. From our first initial enrolment visit when they were two young nervous trainees who had been given a chance from Darbecca, who are a very professional company who supports local students with opportunities for education and employment, to now being very valuable employees who have a long term role at the company. What a fantastic story.”
Both Tara and Teah are happy with the education they have received from Integrity Business College, and have both stated that they may further their studies in the future.
Congratulations to Tara and Teah on their work so far in aiming to complete the Certificate III Business course through their traineeship at Darbecca.
