Pamela Pantelidis is currently studying a Certificate III in Business at Integrity Business College as part of our 2021 School Based Traineeship program. While studying year 12 at Rosehill Secondary College, Pamela also works one day a week in the Administration department for Maribyrnong & Moonee Valley Local Learning & Employment Network (MMVLLEN) as part of her School Based Traineeship.

By enrolling into the SBAT Business course, Pamela thought it would be valuable to learn and develop required business skills within a professional environment whilst deciding a career path.

“I feel I am doing really well in the course. So far I have found that all of the course content that is being covered is completely relevant to my tasks within the workplace and working at MMVLLEN I have learnt a lot of things here. Jade has helped me in a lot of ways with guidance and helping me complete certain tasks.”

Pamela enrolled in the SBAT Business course to help keep her career options open, as she is currently unsure of what path or career industry she would like to pursue.  “I want to keep my career options open as at this stage as I do not know what career I would like to get into. However, this is the perfect course to help keep an open mind whilst gaining quality skills and knowledge within a professional environment.”

Pamela’s School Careers Coordinator, Alfio Raiti said, “Every time I speak to Pamela back at Rosehill Secondary College, she always has a smile on her face when I ask her about the SBAT.  Pamela is thoroughly enjoying the experience and she looks forward to attending every week. Pamela enjoys being part of a team at her work placement and the many opportunities she has already experienced this year.

I have seen a young lady who had no experience in the workplace to a person who has developed skills because of her SBAT which she can now take into future employment opportunities.”

Her supervisor at the MMVLLEN, Jade McQuilken said, “Pamela has shown outstanding commitment to her SBAT placement so far. She is punctual, willing to learn and has demonstrated a great work ethic. She has already become a valuable addition to our team and we look forward to helping her develop this year

Pamela is building up her work skills and learning so much with the Maribyrnong Moonee Valley LLEN, contributing to the growth of young people and has set herself several personal goals to achieve this year.

Last year when Pamela was In Year 11, she undertook some units in the Certificate II in Business Course at her local TAFE. She is enjoying her Business studies at Integrity and feels the delivery and support provided are well suited to ensuring she does well.

The Victorian LLENs play a key role in supporting young people in their journey through school and preparing them for their future work life.

To have the support of the Maribyrnong Moonee Valley LLEN and other LLENs as Hosts for our SBAT students provides not only an excellent and supportive workplace for students across the year, but also demonstrates the work Integrity is doing in building its partnerships with a number of Victorian LLENs across the state.

From all of us here at Integrity, we would like to wish Pamela all the best moving forward in 2021 and congratulate her on her development so far working at MMVLLEN. Well done Pamela!
