Congratulations to William McCormick
William is completing BSB30120 – Certificate III in Business as a Part-Time Trainee with APM Employment Services.
Here are the insights he shared about his training experience and how he has applied the knowledge to his professional life.
Q: What does your role entail?
A: I am a Youth Administration Assistant for a Human and Health Services company focusing on administration within the Employment Services department. I work 2 days a week processing orders for IT equipment, stationery orders along with other tasks.
Q: What skills have you gained through your traineeship that you can directly apply into your workplace?
A: How to manage time and keep a well organised office along with building good relationships and general administration tips.
Q: What aspects of your training have brought you the greatest enjoyment thus far?
A: My favourite unit has been the Health and Safety unit because this one of my passions.
Q: What advice can you give anyone who is thinking about undertaking a traineeship?
A: Give it a go! You get to learn while you are working and you gain a valuable skill at the same time.
Q: How did you find our Online Virtual training – is it something you would recommend?
A: Yes, I would recommend it as you can attend the classes from anywhere which can help those that have transport barriers.
Q: How did you find working and training together at the same time, is it beneficial?
A: Love it, because I get to learn while I am working which makes me better at my job and builds more confidence.
Q: How has your traineeship experience influenced your short-term and long-term career goals?
A: It has given me the opportunity to get closer to my dream job and also be more confident in being able to do my current job. It has made me realise that I can achieve any task that I set my mind to.
Q: Upon completion, do you plan to further your studies?
A: I am not sure at the moment. If the opportunity comes up that requires me to do further study, I will do this.
Q: How did you find the working relationship between yourself and Integrity Business College?
A: Very good, it has been professional, the trainers are amazing, they have pushed me when I need to be pushed and trusted me to get what needs to be done, completed.
Q: Would you recommend Integrity?
A: I would highly recommend Integrity, the staff are friendly and helpful. They are there to support you when you need it.
It’s been great watching William progress through his traineeship and develop his skills in the workplace. We look forward to seeing where William goes in the future.
