Here are the insights she shared about her training experience and how she has applied the knowledge to her professional life.
Q: What does your role entail?
A: I work in administration completing a Certificate III in Business with CFA Wendouree – District 15
Q: What skills have you gained through your traineeship that you can directly apply into your workplace?
A: Some of the skills that I have gained thought my traineeship have been administration, communication, customer service, problem-solving and time management all of which have been applied effectively in my role at the CFA (Country Fire Authority).
Q: What aspects of your training have brought you the greatest enjoyment thus far?
A: The aspects of my training that I have enjoyed so far has been the opportunity to work for the CFA and being apart of such an amazing team here being able to help the community.
Q: What advice can you give anyone who is thinking about undertaking a traineeship?
A: My advice for someone who thinking of doing a traineeship is to just stay organised, connect what you’re learning to real-world situations, be proactive in gaining hand-on experience and ask heaps of questions.
Q: How has your traineeship experience influenced your short-term and long-term career goals?
A: My traineeship has influenced my short-term goal. By achieving my milestones, the traineeship has giving me a sense of accomplishment that has boost my confidence to think of long-term goals.
Q: How did you find working and training together at the same time, is it beneficial?
A: Training and working has been beneficial for me it has improved my skills in Admin by learning about the task then to be able to apply my knowledge into my work. But it has required careful balance to avoid burnout and ensure both tasks are performed effectively.
Q: How did you find the working relationship between yourself and Integrity Business College?
A: The relationship between myself and Integrity Business College has been healthy they have helped my out when I’ve asked for help, they are all super lovely and easy to approach just overall a good experience and I would recommend Integrity.
It’s been wonderful to see Evelyn grow throughout her traineeship and build her skills in the workplace. We’re excited to see where her journey takes her in the future.
