Stephanie Neree has enjoyed her time studying her Certificate IV in Business, all while working on a full-time basis. Stephanie works as a Senior Project Officer for the Level Crossing Removal Project for the company Western Program Alliance. Her role is very diverse, and involves working closely with the project manager, as well as completing tasks such as invoicing, payroll closure and Key Performance Indicator reporting.
Stephanie started studying in 2018 with us here at Integrity Business College, along with several fellow co-workers from Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel project. Stephanie, originally from France, has enjoyed the challenge of completing studies in her second language, and she has said completing this course has helped her fine tune her knowledge.
“As English is my second Language, I was not sure I would have been able to study a 12 months course in English. However, I signed up and it’s been the best decision I have made this year! Undertaking this course at Integrity gave me more confidences with my communication skills, both verbal and writing. Some units have been a real challenge, however, it pushed my grammar and spelling away from the juxtaposition of French translation.”
Furthermore, the improvement Stephanie has seen has also translated into her work-related tasks in her role at Western Program Alliance.
“My writing and analytical skills improved a lot and helped me in creating all sorts of works documents such Risk Assessment Plan, resources plan.”
Ultimately this is what drove Stephanie to undertake the Certificate IV in Business, as she aimed to improve her professional skills in the world of Business.
“I was willing to improve my professional English and further develop and gain vital Business skills and hopefully the Certificate IV will open doors to further opportunities, roles in Business.”
The delivery mode provided here at Integrity Business College also helped Stephanie, as working full-time whilst studying can be difficult, however she has spoken highly of the mode in which the course was delivered. This sees her to enjoy the course she is studying, whilst also balancing her work and personal lifestyle.
“What I enjoyed the most is the rhythm and social learning community and interactivity with the teachers and other trainees. The combination between one class a month at school and the rest online gives you the flexibility to study anywhere, anytime. The course suits my lifestyle and I was able to learn at my own pace with the support of the teacher at any time.”
Stephanie plans to take the knowledge she has gained to continue working within Human Resources (HR), with plans to potentially study HR Management
From all of us here at Integrity Business College, we would like to publicly congratulate Stephanie on completing her Certificate IV in Business, a wonderful effort and one she should be proud of, particularly completing a course in her second language. Well done Stephanie and all the best with your future endeavours!
