We are thrilled to announce our Student Profile of the Month!
Congratulations to Morgan Payne
Morgan is completing BSB30120 – Certificate III in Business as a Trainee with CVGT while hosted to City of Greater Bendigo.
Here are the insights she shared about her training experience and how she has applied the knowledge to her professional life.
Q: What does your role entail?
A: My role at the City of Greater Bendigo involves providing admin assistance to my team in Procurement. This includes assisting with filing documents electronically, getting new suppliers set up in our finance system, monitoring our general inbox and assisting with inquiries, creating ad requests for tenders, plus much more!
Q: What skills have you gained through your traineeship that you can directly apply into your workplace?
A: During my traineeship, I have developed and continue to build a wide range of skills. I have gained and strengthened my customer service and communication abilities, while also improving my computer skills and time management.
Q: What aspects of your training have brought you the greatest enjoyment thus far?
A: I would say getting to interact with my trainer and build a relationship has been the most enjoyable, as well as the sense of achievement from completing each unit.
Q: What advice can you give anyone who is thinking about undertaking a traineeship?
A: I would recommend it! I think it is a great opportunity and helps you to develop skills and knowledge that can be applied to any workplace.
Q: How did you find our Online Virtual training – is it something you would recommend?
A: Yes definitely! I find it very easy to navigate, the flexibility is a great advantage, and it’s simple to connect with your trainer if you need support.
Q: How did you find working and training together at the same time, is it beneficial?
A: I am really enjoying this aspect of my traineeship, it is something different as I have never worked full time and studied at the same time before. I find it very beneficial as I can directly apply what I am learning in real time, and it has helped me to develop better time management.
Q: How has your traineeship experience influenced your short-term and long-term career goals?
A: Short-term, this traineeship has influenced me to continue working at my current workplace and has given me the skills I need. Long-term, this traineeship has helped me to gain confidence to potentially complete further studies and better my education whilst working.
Q: Upon completion, do you plan to further your studies?
A: I am still undecided what to do once I have completed my traineeship however, I think at some stage in the future I would like to undertake further studies.
Q: How did you find the working relationship between yourself and Integrity Business College?
A: I’ve found it great so far. My trainer is Kaelene, and she has been helpful and supportive, not just with me but everyone in the class. I feel comfortable to ask her any questions if I am unsure and she explains things clearly.
Q: Would you recommend Integrity?
A: I would highly recommend Integrity. Everyone I have interacted with has been helpful, kind, and supportive!
It’s been wonderful to see Morgan grow her skills throughout her traineeship and we’re excited to see where her journey takes her in the future.
