Madelyn, one of our dedicated Certificate III Business Administration students, is moving towards the end of her studies with only four units to go until she graduates. Madelyn caught up with us to talk about her experiences at Integrity and in the workplace. Maddy tells us that she “is loving the Integrity Business College environment and is thankful of her employer, Haven; Home, Safe, for using traineeships within the workplace to allow her this opportunity to study and work at the same time.” During her traineeship, Haven; Home, Safe commented that “Maddy has worked hard both on her coursework and in the office, her organisation recognised this and awarded her Employee of the Month in January of this year.” Tim Murphy, the Management Accountant at Haven; Home, Safe went on to explain that “Maddy is a valuable member of our Finance Team and has embraced her role with Haven; Home, Safe with enthusiasm. She is keen to learn new skills and actively seeks out opportunities to develop her knowledge in new areas. She has excelled as a workplace trainee and has often performed duties at a higher level than would be typically expected of her.” We love seeing our students thrive in the workplace and applying the skills they’ve been developing at Integrity. Maddy let us know that “she enjoys her relationship with her trainer, and thanks Kaelene for being so understanding and helpful at explaining in real world examples.”
We asked Maddy about the value she feels she has gained to her employability from her time here at Integrity. She feels that her studies at Integrity “will make an incredible difference to my job prospects and assist in further studies and opportunities”, which is the empowering result we are focused on for our students. Maddy elaborated that “My training has allowed me to learn new and innovative business skills then apply the skills in my workplace on a daily basis. Before this opportunity, and other than school, I had not experienced the business line of work. I have gained all the skills required to continue on the path of Business and related jobs.” We’ll be sad to see Maddy go when she completes in just a few short weeks but we are proud of her incredible achievements and know she will go on to build herself a vibrant career and make great contributions to the world around her.
